Portsmouth Square, Inc. operates in San Francisco hotel industry. The Company’s primary business is conducted through its general and limited partnership interest in Justice Investors Limited Partnership, a California limited partnership (Justice). Justice, through its subsidiary, Justice Operating Company, LLC owns and operates 544 guest rooms and luxury suites situated on 22 floors. The Company has two segments. Hotel Operations segment operates the Hotel. Investment Transactions segment invests its cash in marketable securities and other investments. The Hotel has a restaurant, a lounge, and a private dining room on 3,700 square feet; additionally, there are two kitchens to service the restaurant and banquets and a fully equipped gym. The Hotel has approximately 22,000 square feet of meeting room space, including the grand ballroom. In addition, it also invests in income-producing instruments, corporate debt and equity securities, publicly traded investment funds, and others.
