The Zhitong Finance App learned that, according to people familiar with the matter, artificial intelligence startup Anthropic expects the company's annualized revenue to exceed 850 million US dollars by the end of 2024.

The report pointed out that three months ago, Anthropic told some investors that the company's annualized revenue was 100 million US dollars and is expected to reach 500 million US dollars by the end of 2024. According to information, Anthropic was co-founded by former OpenAI executives supported by Microsoft (MSFT.US) and brothers and sisters Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodei.

Other people close to Anthropic believe that the company's annualized revenue next year may even reach $1 billion, or $83 million in monthly revenue.

Last week, it was reported that Anthropic is in discussions to raise 750 million US dollars in a funding round led by Menlo Ventures. The report said that the round of financing has not yet been finalized, and the company's final valuation may exceed 18 billion US dollars.

Currently, the artificial intelligence company has received support from Google (GOOGL.US) and Amazon (AMZN.US). According to reports, in October of this year, Google invested 500 million US dollars in Anthropic and promised to invest an additional 1.5 billion US dollars in the future. In September, Amazon said it would invest up to 4 billion US dollars in this startup and acquire minority shares in the company as the two sides cooperate to promote generative artificial intelligence.
