At the 15th Beijing International Film Festival China Film High Quality Development Forum, the Beijing Cinematographers Association launched the “2024 Beijing Film Industry Research Report”. Yin Hong, editor-in-chief of the report, vice chairman of the China Cinematographers Association, and a professor at Tsinghua University, said that as the country's leading point of film creation, Beijing launched 775 films last year, accounting for a quarter of the total number of projects set up in the country. Of the top ten domestic movie box office rankings last year, Beijing-made movies accounted for four; out of 55 films that grossed over 100 million dollars, Beijing accounted for one-third. “Not only are the box office results excellent, but more importantly, these films have repeatedly won the 'Five One Project' Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, and the Hundred Flowers Awards.” Yin Hong said.
