Many social media users claiming to be factory heads or supply chain experts in China have posted that they have worked as foundry for luxury brands such as Hermès, Prada, and Louis Vuitton under the LVMH Group in the past. Some users said that more than half of these luxury brand products have completed the main production steps in China, and their value has soared simply because the final branding process was completed in Europe. Lululemon is one of the few brands that have responded to the social media hotspots mentioned above. It issued a statement saying that it has never cooperated with the two Chinese factories mentioned by the user with the screen name “LunaSourcingChina” mentioned above, nor are they on the supplier list published by the brand. Content related to Lululemon has been removed from “LunaSourcingChina” TikTok account. Furthermore, “LunaSourcingChina” also refers to Dior's supplier of knitted products in China as “Hangzhou Beyond Garments.” After inquiry, “Hangzhou Beyond Garments” corresponds to Hangzhou Biyang Clothing Co., Ltd. According to the Tianyancha App, it was established in 2013, and its business scope includes clothing manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and import and export of goods. The reporter dialed the company phone number on the Tianyan Check App to find out if it was a Dior supplier. The other party responded that the news was untrue. “The rumor is false. Statements have been issued to various platforms through lawyers, and some media have removed the relevant content.” Bi's clothing department told UI News. Yiwu Xianglong Clothing Co., Ltd., which corresponds to “Xianglong Clothing,” also denied the news to Interface News that it had been an OEM for Lululemon, while “Hung Qisun Clothing” was unable to find a corresponding company through public channels.
