South Korea's constitutional court rejected the impeachment case against Han Deok-soo this morning. Han Deok-soo immediately reinstated as prime minister of state and assumed the presidency. Luo Qingyuan, a heavyweight in South Korea's ruling National Power Party and former party whip, publicly demanded an apology from Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Communist Democratic Party, the largest opposition party that strongly promoted the impeachment case. Luo Qingyu also said that she “carefully predicted” that the impeachment case of President Yoon Seok-yeol, which is about to be handed down, will also be rejected and that Yoon Seok-yeol will be reinstated.
