Waymo, an autonomous vehicle development company owned by Alphabet, said it will provide autonomous taxi services in Miami in the US starting 2026. Waymo said on Thursday that it will launch Waymo One, an autonomous ride-hailing service in Miami in early 2025, and will cooperate with auto finance company Moove to provide online car-hailing services in 2026. The company said its autonomous vehicles already provide 150,000 weekly trips in Austin, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Phoenix, and 10,000 paid trips per week in the summer of 2023, increasing to 50,000 trips per week by May of this year.
