Close Your Account


How do I close my Webull account?

Before submitting a request to close your account, please make sure the following conditions are met:

  • Your account has a $0 cash balance
  • There are no open positions (including stocks, options, or other securities)
  • The account does not have a negative cash balance
  • There are no pending transfers (including deposits, withdrawals, or ACATs)
  • There are no incoming dividend or interest payments

Once all requirements are satisfied, your closure request will typically be processed within 1 to 3 business days. You can submit your request through the mobile app or web platform by following the steps below:

Mobile App:

  1. Navigate to Menu ➝ Settings ➝ Account Management ➝ Close Account
  2. Confirm that all closure requirements have been met
  3. Tap Understood to submit your request

Web:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top right corner
  2. Go to My Account ➝ Verify ➝ Manage My Account ➝ Delete Account
  3. Confirm that all closure requirements have been met
  4. Click Delete Account Now to submit your request

Why am I still receiving emails after closing my account?

Even after closing your account, you may still receive certain communications, such as your final monthly statement because your login credentials remain active. To stop receiving all future emails from Webull, you will need to permanently delete your registered login. This fully removes your user profile and unsubscribes you from all communications.


Mobile App:

  1. Go to Menu ➝ Settings ➝ Account & Security ➝ Delete Account ➝ Continue to Delete Account
  2. Check the box to authorize the deletion of your account data
  3. Tap OK
  4. Enter your login password
  5. Tap Done

Can I cancel my request to close my Webull account?

Yes, you can cancel your account closure request, but only within 24 hours of submitting it. Once canceled, any restrictions placed on the account will be immediately removed, and full access will be restored. To cancel the request, simply use the mobile app and follow the steps below:

Mobile App:

  1. Navigate to Menu ➝ Settings ➝ Account Management ➝ Close Account
  2. Select Cancel Closing Account
