Taking a Distribution

You can submit a distribution through the Webull mobile app, website, desktop application, or by check. For instructions on how to submit a distribution using the mobile app, website, or desktop application, please refer to the following guidelines:

App:

1. Tap the Webull logo (bottom center).
2. Select your desired IRA account.
3. Tap Transfers ➝ Transfer Money
4. Tap the switch button to switch the transfer direction and choose ACH, Wire, or a Webull Account to receive the funds.
5. Enter the distribution amount and reason.
6. Tap Review and Submit.

Desktop:

1. Hover over the icons on the left and click Account (if hidden, click on More).
2. Within the Banking widget, click Distribution.
3. Select your IRA in the dropdown and choose ACH, Wire, or a Webull Account to receive the funds.
4. Enter the distribution amount and reason.
5. Click Review and Submit.

Web:

1. Navigate to My Account (top right).
2. Select Transfer Money.
3. Select your IRA in the dropdown, click the switch button to switch the transfer direction and choose ACH, Wire, or a Webull Account to receive the funds.
4. Enter the distribution amount and reason.
5. Click Review and Submit.

For requests involving a check, excess removals for a prior or current year, or calculations of Net Income Attributable (NIA), you will need to complete an IRA Distribution form specific to your IRA type. The required forms are below:

Roth IRA Distribution form

Once the form is completed and signed, please send your form through the in-app Help Center or email us at IRA@webull.com.

How long does a distribution take?

Processing times may vary depending on the distribution method chosen, such as ACH, wire transfer, internal transfer, or check.

ACH

Electronic distributions to the bank account on file may take up to 3-4 business days.

Wire

Distributions sent via wire will take up to 1-2 business days.

Internal Transfer

Distributions sent internally to a brokerage account are processed either on the same day or the next business day.

Check

Check distributions may take up to 7-10 business days.
