Updating Personal Details


It is important to keep your ID, name, SSN, and citizenship information up to date to ensure account security, compliance, and accurate tax reporting. Please use the following guide to help you maintain your personal details:


How do I update my ID on file?


App:

  1. Menu ➝ Settings ➝ Account Management ➝ Modify Profile
  2. Tap the edit icon next to Valid Identification.
  3. Complete the required fields.
  4. Tap Save

If you’re having trouble uploading an ID photo, verify that Webull has permission to access your camera or photo gallery in your phone settings.

Web:

  1. Click your profile icon (top right).
  2. My Account ➝ Account Profile ➝ Edit next to Valid Identification
  3. Complete the required fields.
  4. Select Save

How do I update my name?


App:

  1. Locate Menu ➝ Help Center ➝ Contact Us
  2. Provide your updated name in the following format:
  • First Name
  • Middle Name (If applicable)
  • Last Name

3. Upload an original photo of your driver's license, ID, or passport (picture page).

For a legal name change, please provide a marriage certificate or court order along with a completed IRS Form W-9. Please note that only wet-ink signatures are accepted; electronic signatures will not be accepted.


How do I update my Social Security Number (SSN) or ITIN?


App:

  1. Navigate to Menu ➝ Help CenterContact Us
  2. Upload an original photo of your Social Security card, ITIN, or W-2, along with a completed W-9 Form. Please note that only wet-ink signatures are accepted; electronic signatures will not be accepted.

How do I update my date of birth?


App:

  1. Menu ➝ Help Center ➝ Contact Us
  2. Upload an original photo of your driver's license, ID, or passport (picture page).

How do I update my citizenship?


App:

  1. Menu ➝ Help Center ➝ Contact Us
  2. Please upload the following documents to certify your U.S tax status:
  • Original photo of your Social Security Card
  • Completed and signed IRS Form W-9. Please note that only wet-ink signatures are accepted; electronic signatures will not be accepted.

How do I update my affiliations?


App:

  1. Navigate to Menu ➝ Settings ➝ Account Management ➝ Modify Profile ➝ Affiliations
  2. Select the area that needs to be updated: Politically Exposed Person, FINRA or Exchange Member, or Executive
  3. Complete the required fields
  4. Tap Save

Web:

  1. Click your profile icon (top right).
  2. My Account ➝ Account Profile ➝ Affiliations
  3. Click on the arrow corresponding to the information you would like to update: Politically Exposed Person, FINRA or Exchange Member, or Executive
  4. Complete the required fields
  5. Select Save
