Quant Rating


The TC Quantamental Rating provides compact scores to evaluate a stock across multiple categories including Growth, Value, Income, Quality and Momentum. Quantamental Rating is used to indicate how attractive a company might be from an investment perspective.


The quant rating measures five categories in its automation algorithm and is mainly composed of earnings indicators of different securities, such as Price/Earnings Change (YOY) EPS Growth for the Growth category, and Earning Yield (EPS/Price per Share), Price/Free Cash Flow Ratio for Value category. Investors are able to trade with these visual images to facilitate their decision-making process.

  • Revenue Growth (Last Qtr. Vs. Prior Yr.)

Value

  • Earning Yield (EPS/Price per Share)

  • Price/Book Ratio
  • Price/Free Cash Flow Ratio

Income

  • Dividend Yield
  • Dividend Growth Rate (Current to Prior Year)
  • Dividend Growth Rate (5 Year Average)
  • Dividend Payout Ratio

Quality

  • Operating Margin
  • Return on Equity (ROE)
  • ROE Change (YOY)
  • Return on Invested Capital (ROIC)
  • ROIC Change (YOY)
  • Shares Outstanding
  • Total Debt/Equity Ratio Change

Momentum

  • 3-Month Momentum (Risk-Adjusted)
  • 12-Month Momentum (Risk-Adjusted)

The overall rating is an average score calculated from the company’s individual Quant Ratings and ranges from 1 to 10. A higher score indicates strong overall company fundamentals.
